Description :	Cette mosaïque a actuellement la forme d'un octogone qui s'inscrit dans un carré de 2m14 de côté. Elle aurait mesuré environ 6 m au moment de sa découverte. Au centre se trouve une rosace à 16 feuilles en violet et noir sur fond blanc. Elle est entourée d'une bordure composée de triangles rouges et noirs, puis de huit petits panneaux formant une seconde bordure. Sur quatre des côtés de cette bordure se trouvent des panneaux en hexagone. Dans l'un, un vase à deux anses ; le suivant est une rosace à six branches noires à bord blanc sur fond rouge entourée d'une bordure décorée de postes jaunes sur fond noir ; puis, une autre rosace à six branches, différente de la première ; enfin, une sorte de soleil à six rayons flamboyants violets. Entre ces quatre sujets, panneaux de remplissage de forme géométrique, puis autres petits panneaux de forme géométrique pour terminer l'octogone.

Historique :	Cette mosaïque a été trouvée à Feurs près de l'église en 1807 ou en 1820. Elle a été transportée à Montbrison en 1825.
